Privacy Policy

The IS-ENES3 consortium will process your data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data by the Community institutions and bodies.

The purpose of this processing operation is to involve you in activities in order to fulfill the objectives of the project.

Those activities are:

  • Emails to a group or a mailing list
  • Workshop registration
  • Transnational access calls
  • Summer Schools and training registration
  • Surveys

Controller of the processing

The controller of the processing operation is the Institut Pierre Simon Laplace (IPSL), 11 Boulevard d’Alembert, 78280 Guyancourt, France.

The legal basis of data processing is Article 6 (1) lit. e GDPR.

The data gathered for IS-ENES3 activities are the following: name, personal details such as phone, email and fax, internet address, home address, education, professional experience, competences and any relevant data foreseen in the curriculum vitae.

Recipients

The recipients of your personal data will be the members of the IS-ENES3 consortium responsible for the activity you are involved in.

Storage of data and potential transfer of data

Your data might be transferred to the European Commission in the framework of IS-ENES3 activities (1)

Your data might also be transferred to the participants of the activity you have registered in.

Your data will be retained for the duration of the IS-ENES3 project (4 years).

Rights of individuals affected

As an individual whose personal data are gathered as part of the aforementioned services, you have, in principle, the following rights, to the extent that no legal exceptions are applicable in individual cases:

(1) Processing of personal data by the Commission

Any personal data under the Agreement will be processed by the Commission under Regulation No 45/200128 and according to the ‘notifications of the processing operations’ to the Data Protection Officer (DPO) of the Commission (publicly accessible in the DPO register).

Such data will be processed by the ‘data controller’ of the Commission for the purposes of implementing, managing and monitoring the Agreement or protecting the financial interests of the EU or Euratom (including checks, reviews, audits and investigations; see Article 22).

The persons whose personal data are processed have the right to access and correct their own personal data. For this purpose, they must send any queries about the processing of their personal data to the data controller, via the contact point indicated in the privacy statement(s) that are published on the Commission websites.

They also have the right to have recourse at any time to the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS).
